 How to Apply

Interested in Electrical Engineering?

If you are already a UNM student and wish to transfer to the ECE department, you must meet the following department criteria:

  • Completion of least 18 hours from the following list of courses, Math 162 and 163, Physics 160 and 161, Chemistry 121L, CS 151 and ECE231, with a minimum GPA of 2.50.
  • Completion of at least 26 hours of courses acceptable toward a degree in Electrical Engineering, with a GPA of at least 2.20, including a C or better in English 101. Courses in which the grade was a D+ or less are not acceptable toward admission to the program.
