Spike Technology, Inc. Traveling Grants for Young Investigators

A number of grants covering travel expenses are available to young investigators co-authoring papers accepted for presentation and intending to present the papers themselves.

The applications must be submitted via email to naftali.herscovici@spke.com by July 1, 2000. In the application, the candidate is required to include a short biography and a research publication summary. Award funds cannot be given before the conference, so awardees must make their own arrangements to cover travel expenses to the meeting.

Selection of awardees (40 years old and less) will be based upon each candidate's need for travel support and his/her potential or demonstrated aptitude for research. Successful candidates will be notified of their selection immediately following the selection meeting. Upon notification of selection, prospective awardees will be asked to submit the minimum applicable conference registration fee as a non-refundable deposit to be applied toward the registration fee. If it is determined that a prospective awardee has not met this requirement within 60 days after award notification, the technical committee may select an alternate awardee. Once the awardees attend the conference and deliver their papers, their travel expenses and conference registration fees will be reimbursed.
