Admissions to the Electrical Engineering Department
There are three minimum requirements
which must be satisfied in order to enter the Electrical Engineering
program.
- Completion of at least 26 hours applicable to the
degree, with a minimum GPA of 2.2 out of a possible 4.0.
If more than 26 hours applicable to the degree have been
completed, the minimum GPA of 2.2 applies to all such hours.
- Completion of at least 18 hours, with a minimum
GPA of at least 2.5, from a list of 7 technical courses
in Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Freshman Engineering
courses. Math 162 and Math 163 must be included in the list
of 7 courses.
- Completion of English 101 (or its equivalent) with
a minimum grade of "C".
For transfer students, admission to the program will
depend upon the evaluation of the student's transcript by
the Electrical Engineering Admissions Committee Through its
Chairman, the Associate Chairman of the ECE Department.
