    Abstract: In this paper we propose mathematical performance measures by which the robustness, imperceptibility and information content of various watermarking methods could be measured. These measures rely in the notion of equivalence in the perceptual domain and some basic information-theoretic concepts. Based on these measures we show that the success of image watermarking heavily depend on the functional form of the human visual system perceptual mask. We also analyze the implication for robust watermarking of some commonly used perceptual masks.

    Abstract: In this paper we propose performance measures and provide a description of the application of digital watermarking for use in copyright protection of digital images. The watermarking process we consider involves embedding visually imperceptible data in a digital image in such a way that it is difficult to detect or remove, unless one possesses specific secret information. The major processes involved in the watermarking processes are considered, including insertion, attack, and detection/extraction. Generic features of these processes are discussed, along with open issues, and areas where experimentation is likely to prove useful.

    Abstract: In this paper we design a Finite-Impulse-Response (FIR) filter to enforce the so-called Strictly-Positive-Realness (SPR) condition in an adaptive Infinite-Impulse-Response (IIR) filtering context. The paper results may then be used to guarantee the convergence of pseudolinear regression IIR adaptive algorithms.

    Abstract: This paper introduces robust stability techniques for the computation of exact bounds for the frequency response of FIR and IIR digital filters in which the l(infinity) norm of the coefficients is bounded.
