Background

Professor Heileman received the BS degree from Wake Forest University in 1982, the MS degree in Biomedical Engineering and Mathematics from the University of North Carolina--Chapel Hill in 1986, and the PhD degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Central Florida in 1989. He is currently Professor and Associate Chair in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, NM. He is an associate editor for the ACM Journal of Experimental Algorithmics and a senior member of the IEEE.

I'm currently most actively involved with the Digital Rights and Knowledge Engineering (DRAKE) Research Group at the University of New Mexico.
