ECE Welcomes EYES Interns from IIT

The interns just arrived from India, and all are juniors at the Indian
Institute of Technology (IIT). They will spend eight weeks at ECE and
CHTM, each working with a professor on a specific project.
The interns were welcomed by UNM's new provost, Prof. Reed Dasenbrock,
who gave them an informative and informed overview of UNM and New
Mexico.

The interns' names are Eakta Jain, Kamesh Krishnamurthy, Saifur Rahman,
Yamini Sridharan, and Vaibhav Tripathi. A number of current ECE students have
volunteered as the interns' helpers and research mentors.
Prof. Sanjay Krishna is director of the program, which is titled Expand
Your Engineering Skills (EYES), a collaboration with IIT in India.
Each of the interns will complete a report or contribute to a paper
about their project at the end of the eight weeks.
The professors with whom the interns will be working this summer are
Prof. Krishna, Prof. Thomas Caudell, Prof. David Bader, Prof. Majeed
Hayat, and Prof. Balu Santhanam.
